This project aims to promote academic research on all aspects of the Reformation Musical History and Theology.

No synthetic and theoretical study of the Reformation musical history and theology has so far been undertaken despite its acknowledged need. • To create an international academic network to conduct research on Reformation Musical History and Theology.
  • To provide an interdisciplinary centre unifying musicological, historical and theological work carried out within academic institutions and other public and relevant private organizations.
  • To present conferences, seminars, and lecture series’ in support of international and national interests in Reformation Musical History and Theology.
  • To identify and develop new methodological and hermeneutical frameworks for Reformation Musical History and Theology.
  • To distribute the outcome of the projects (theses, monographs and edited volumes) for a wide international readership.

This project has the following loci:

  • Music and Religious Education in Reformation Europe.
  • Music, Rhetoric, and Moral Philosophy in Early Modern Europe.
